WOMEN’S MINISTRY
MOTTO: We minister as unto Christ!!
What the Women’s Ministry stands for; The Women’s Ministry (W/M) symbolizes the zeal and love of women in Assemblies of God churches and their quest for practical contribution and supplement towards the advancement of the Lord’s Kingdom. The ministry seeks to promote personal growth of the members, develop them into responsible family and church members, and ultimately maximise the evangelistic potential of the average woman.

Church Mother's Profile: Mrs Alberta Boateng
Finding a fulfilling role as a Pastors wife is not an easy task in today's church community, however since the inception of this church, Victory Christian Centre AOG, l have been serving in a supporting role to my husband, giving him any help needed so he can be refreshed each day to serve the people whom God has given as their Spiritual head.
I have been supporting the Ministry in various capacities as the Women's Ministry Advisor, Counsellor, and Chairperson in other auxiliary groups. I also seek to build up each w/m member in Faith through the Word of God and help to propagate the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in the local community through Outreach programs. l helped in organising Retreats, Seminars/Rallies for the women in the church and other sister churches which has been a blessing to many. As the Bible admonishes us to look after widows, an act which pleases God, I have contributed immensely toward the setting up of Widows Fund, which we give to widows in the Church in UK and Ghana.
Favourite Bible Quotations: Colossians 3 :1-3
You have been raised to life in Christ, so set your hearts on things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on His throne at the right -hand side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Psalm 27:5In times of trouble, the Lord will shelter me in his tent, He will keep me safe in the secret place of His Tabernacle and make me secure on a high rock.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY (BRIEF HISTORY)
Victory Christian Centre Assemblies of God Women’s Ministry started in 2005 with a membership of nine (9) and it was led by Mrs Mary Boakye. They had their meetings after Sunday services and Mrs Mary Boakye did a very good work before leaving finally to Ghana. Her successor, Mrs Juliana Nomah also took the w/m to another level.
Later, Rev. Samuel Boateng appointed Mrs Vida Acheampong, as president and Mrs Rita Duah as vice president and supported by Mrs. Alberta A. Boateng (Church mother) as their advisor.
In 2007, we started meeting at Afro-Caribbean centre with a membership of fifteen (15) but as our financial standing wasn’t strong, one of the women voluntarily offered her house for our meetings for almost one year. We then moved our meetings back to the Afro Caribbean centre in 2009 as the number increased and was there till April 2012 when we had our own place of worship . Presently the ministry has grown and has been given the opportunity to elect its own leadership. PRAISE BE TO GOD AMEN (SECRETARY)

My Favourite Bible Scriptures: Psalm 1:1-6
-
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
-
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
-
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
-
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
-
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
-
For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Women Treasurer: MRS Lydia Tabi
By the grace of God I became a member of Victory Christian Centre AOG in 2006 and since then I have been always proud of the church. I it is one of my best decisions ever.
Since day one of my membership, I have been very active in the church at various fronts. Following my strong commitment to the Women Ministry over the years, I was then appointed the Treasure of the Women Ministry in the year 2011. As the Treasure of the W/M, my role is to get the finances of the ministry in order by collecting the monthly dues which I have been able to achieve with the help of all the team. I am very glad to be part of the Women Ministry and VCC AOG as a whole and I thank God for that.
My Favourite Bible Passage: Romans 8:31-35 KJV
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? [32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? [33] Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. [34] Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

By the divine ordination of the Most High God, I became a member and a full committer of Victory Christian Centre Aog in 2006 and with my love and zeal for God, I was appointed a Deaconess and an Executive member of the Women Ministry three years after my membership. My role as an executive is to represent the women at the Church board meetings. I am also in charge of the church decoration and a member of the Marriage Committee. I have been able to impact the church over the years in a very much positive way, where by our church auditorium is now much a beautiful place to Worship. Thanks be to God for making all possible.
My Favourite Bible Passage: Isaiah 43:13-19
13: Also henceforth I am he; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?”
14: Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I send to Babylon and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.
15: I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters,17 who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick:
18: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
19: Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
